Being Guided

woodsSMI had a dream that as I walked through a thick wood, trees fell all around me. The sound of them crashing down was very loud and terrifying. Even though I was afraid I just kept moving forward. I felt like I was somehow protected and that they wouldn’t hurt me.

Since Uranus has moved into Taurus I have felt a significant energetic shift. I think my dream was related to this. I have to move forward with hope, knowing that I am going the direction I need to be going for my own good and the good of others, even if I can’t see the path ahead more than a few steps.

I decided to try and capture this feeling in my sketchbook. I imagined the trees as bending. They are parting as the woman walks forward guided by a lantern and the light of the moon and stars. With each step a little of the path before her becomes revealed. She doesn’t seemed bothered by this, she just keeps moving forward with grace. She is painted in pink because she is more of the stars than of the earth, but somehow she lives in harmony with the forest, walking gently with light footsteps.

This may become the inspiration for my Hermit card in my Tarot Deck. Time will tell…

May you be guided by the light through times of uncertainty.

  1. I am definitely facing uncertain times due to my age and for being called upon to be an active mom again. I pray I am up to the challenge and will remember this advice when I begin to fall behind or get frustrated. I love the picture.
