Friday = Art

When an animal appears in your life, whether through images, stories, dreams, or in the flesh, and you suddenly take notice of it, there may be a personal message being delivered. Last week I taught another Animal Totem Workshop. Each time I facilitate this class, a new creature appears, so it is always a different experience, even for me.

Since I was a little girl, I’ve had a special connection with animals. I especially loved to draw them. Drawing them seemed to strengthen my connection with them. It was as if when I spent quiet time focusing on their physical aspects through drawing, I was also able to connect with the spirit of the creature as well. It became not only a empathic study of the animal, but of my own perspective as well.

Wisdom can be gained in many ways, when you open all your senses to receiving.

I still have two more Animal Totem Workshops coming up this year at the Vistas Community Center in Summerlin, on November 11th and December 16th. I encourage you to try it for yourself. If you think you would like to organize a private workshop for  your group of friends or community group, please feel free to contact me. I absolutely love giving this workshop. We share this planet home with so many interesting creatures. Each of us has a right to be here, to exist. There is always something new to discover about out connections with one another through this creative exploration.
